Initiated by the French Conseil G\u00e9n\u00e9ral, this 250 mile track is available for everyone : sportive, bike amateur and beginners. This true haven only accessible by non-motorised vehicles is perfect for walking, roller skating, or biking with friends or family. The green path comes near L\u2019Hostellerie d\u2019H\u00e9lo\u00efse in Cluny, a few miles away from the city of M\u00e2con. Nathalie and Patrick Dutartre rent bikes to their customers.<\/p>\n<h2>Sweet holidays<\/h2>\n<p>La voie verte pr\u00e9sente une alternative agr\u00e9able et paisible pour rejoindre \u00c9tiveau ou Tournus depuis M\u00e2con en traversant des villages de caract\u00e8res, des vignes baign\u00e9es de soleil ou bien encore en s\u2019attardant dans un ch\u00e2teau d\u2019inspiration romane ou gothique. Ses 28 boucles offrent une libert\u00e9 totale\u00a0: s\u2019arr\u00eater, pique-niquer, changer d\u2019itin\u00e9raire, se faire plaisir, se laisser surprendre\u2026 Chacun peut d\u00e9cider \u00e0 sa guise de son chemin\u00a0: une boucle ou une petite excursion de quelques heures.<\/p>\n<p>The path links together the cities of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Saint-L\u00e9ger-sur-Dheune\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>Charnay-les-M\u00e2con\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>Chalon-sur-Sa\u00f4ne\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>Cluny<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Plenty of discoveries are awaiting along the Green Path. It take 8 minutes of bike riding in order to cross the Bois Cmair tunnel for example, which is the longest tunnel in Europe to be opened on a green path. With its bats and fresh air, it will certainly be quite a one of a kind experience on the path. Along the Canal du Centre or the remains of the former Via Romana, this adventure is to be shared with friends or family.<\/p>\n<p>The green path can only be accessible by non-motorised vehicles so that they are sheltered from cars . Visitors ride it with mountain bikes, (for the most damaged parts of the path) regular bikes or even recumbent bicycles which are easier to ride on ascending slopes. Roller riders are welcome to enjoy the path\u2019s coating specially designed for the riders comfort. Horse riders are also welcome. The Green Path is accessible to wheelchairs. L\u2019Hostellerie d\u2019H\u00e9lo\u00efse rents bikes for its customers, available on demand.<\/p>\n<h2>Practical information<\/h2>\n<p>The Green Path track has many picnic areas, repair stations, water points or restrooms.
