Who are we?
Willing to share their set of skills, Nathalie and Patrick always wanted to open their own hotel restaurant, and moreover in their own region where they grew up. And here they are in Cluny at L’Hostellerie d’Héloïse (former Hôtel Moderne de la Gare, held for many years by the Chanuet family.) With a lot of strictness, hard work, patience, passion, commitment and renovations, they manage to make the business grow without changing the authenticity of this place existing since the late 1800s
Now that they are surrounded with a whole motivated team, they keep growing this maison offering a discreet and efficient welcome to their customers, remaining receptive to their needs in order to best serve them. Moreover, a sophisticated and generous cooking is also available, with fresh and seasonal local products.
At the beginning of our journey, our Chef Patrick DUTARTRE was alone in the kitchen, helped by his faithful wife Nathalie DUTARTRE and Maria, the only hotel employee. She remained with us and quickly became a cornerstone of our gîte.
Soon enough, Nathalie was joined by someone serving in the dining rooms whereas our Chef surrounded himself with an apprentice
Now our Chef has two apprentices. He teaches them not only cooking skills, but also how to respect the ingredients, gears and obviously customers.
Service in the dining rooms is provided by our two apprentices, with the help of Nathalie who is also in charge of the reception and daily management.
Rooms are handled with great care by Maria. During high season, a dishwasher comes to help us in the kitchen. Nathalie and Patrick, surrounded with this A-team, are very pleased to welcome you, help you discover our hotel, Cluny and the surroundings and also the opportunities of visiting cultural and historical places of this nice region.
Strictness, efficiency, friendliness, organisation, pleasure and adrenaline are real leitmotivs for our team…
